Western Spotted Coralroots in Whatcom Falls Park
We were in Bellingham Thursday, May 31st, to do some errands and went on, as we had planned, to Whatcom Falls Park, one of the city parks, and a real gem. It was a cloudy day with some threat of rain and we went to take time exposures of the falls (best on a cloudy day). While there we found the Western Spotted Coralroot blooming in the woods above the falls and took some time to photograph them also. They seemed to be everywhere in spite of the fact that the woods are laced with climbing and walking trails where people have strayed from the main paths.
